A sales area is the combination of a Sales Organization, a Distribution Channel and a Division. With the transaction above you can assign a Plant to the combination of Sales Organization and Distribution Channel.

How to assign a sales organization to a company code in SAP
Menu: SPRO -> IMG -> Entreprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign sales organization to company code
Follow the menu and search for the sales organization. Just fill in the company code and click Save.

How to create a sales organization in SAP
Menu: SPRO -> Implementation Guide -> Entreprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization -> Define Sales Organization
Follow the path indicated and click on "Define Sales Organization" and then on "New Entries". Give a code and a name to your sales organization and click "Save".
Afterwards you can define address and contacts for the sales organization.
Remember also to assign the new sales organization to a company code.
